We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipping Agency Operations Manager to oversee our shipping operations and ensure seamless cargo handling. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general cargo operations, stevedoring, and bunkering services, along with excellent relationship management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of shipping agency operations, including planning, execution, and optimization of general cargo operations.
- Supervise stevedoring activities to ensure efficient loading and unloading of cargo.
- Coordinate bunkering services, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers, including those offering truck cranes, floating cranes, barges, and other related services.
- Oversee logistics planning and execution for all cargo movements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues and improve service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all maritime regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and analyze operational reports to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Train and mentor staff to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping agency operations, with a focus on general cargo and stevedoring.
- Proven experience in bunkering services and related operational processes.
- Strong network and relationships with general cargo-related suppliers and service providers.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for logistics management.
