Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class 4 lorry to transport rice products to various customer locations.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery while adhering to schedules.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and storage according to safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs and receipts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 4 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in driving and delivering goods preferred.
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to [insert weight]) and perform physical tasks.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic understanding of safety and handling procedures for food products.
