SCHOLAR DEVELOPMENT AND CARE EXECUTIVE
=DREAMS (Singapore) Limited is a first-of-its-kind secular, co-ed weekday residential model that provides after-school academic and holistic support to promising and aspiring children from low-income households. She aims to empower them to dream of a future where they are not limited by family circumstances.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Scholar Development and Care Executive. This individual will be responsible for the scholar’s continuous development, care, learning and safety. The successful candidate will also have a passion for equity and social mobility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Positive role model
- Be a positive mentor and coach for youths from low-income families
- Reflective and aware of one’s values, and how one relates or engages with others
- Respectful
- Open to learn and teach
Coaching and holistic development for goal attainment
- Support youths in their holistic development, motivate and build up their aspirations
- Conduct interviews, home/school visits to get to know the youths, families, schools, and other supporting partners
- Develop individualised care plan for each youth
- Develop an achievable behavioural implementation plan and be ready to nurture, nudge and discipline
- Effectively plans for interactions and activities as learning opportunities
- Conduct weekly/fortnightly engagements with youths to scaffold towards goals
- Monitor and review quarterly with youth, families, schools and other supporting partners
Family, and partnerships
- Collaborate and coordinate with staff, families, schools and other social partners
- Assess risks/needs and consult the Lead, Social Worker, Counsellor
- Take turns with the team to organise family/community events
- Conduct semesterly conferences / visits to home/schools
Administration and operations
- Document relevant information on the scholar management system in a timely manner
- Support in =Dreams programmes and other organisational activities
- Evening work hours required because the youths only return to campus after school
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or degree in any fields
- 3 years of experience in engaging youths and/or experience in coaching and mentoring
- Patient, committed and value building authentic relationships with diverse communities, families and professionals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Be a strong team player
- Able to discern and make good judgements
- Ready to laugh at oneself and with others; believes in teaching one to fish and not giving the fish
- Experience working with children, youth and low-income families is preferred
