Job Overview:
The Account Assistant will support the finance department in managing daily accounting tasks. This includes maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling accounts. The role requires attention to detail, organization, and effective communication with internal teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
- Process transactions and input data into accounting software.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports.
- Handle general ledger entries and ensure accuracy in financial documentation.
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Respond to client inquiries and resolve billing issues.
- Maintain updated records of payments, receipts, and other financial transactions.
- Assist with payroll processing and other financial tasks as needed.
- Perform administrative duties related to accounting tasks
Skills and Qualifications:
- A Diploma/ Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role is a plus.
