Overview
To manage and sustain the company’s entire IT infrastructure, including overseeing networks, software, and security systems to ensure they remain stable, reliable, and secure. The IT Manager will provide end-user support and help desk services, offering guidance to users in accordance with ICT policies and procedures. Additionally, the IT Manager will be responsible for strategic IT planning, cybersecurity, and leading IT initiatives to align with the company’s goals. This includes working on an IT strategy roadmap for Singapore in collaboration with headquarters and implementing improvements to IT standards in line with industry best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud services.
- Ensure network availability, performance, and security through regular monitoring, system upgrades, and proactive maintenance.
- Oversee data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Implement and manage a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, ensuring systems are protected against threats and compliant with regulations.
- Provide first-line support for hardware (laptops, desktops, smartphones, printers) and software (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, proprietary software).
- Offer day-to-day end-user support, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for PCs, servers, peripherals, networking, and software.
- Manage user accounts, access rights, and security settings, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Perform administration tasks, including user management, new joiner/leaver processes, and maintaining IT documentation.
- Track, manage, and monitor security/compliance of hardware inventory and software licensing.
- Prepare and update technical documentation for software applications.
- Develop and execute an IT roadmap aligned with the company’s strategic goals, focusing on innovation, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, while collaborating with HQ for strategic alignment.
- Implement and improve IT standards in line with industry best practices.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of IT equipment and services.
- Lead and participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth transitions and minimize disruption during IT changes.
Requirements:
- At least a diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support or a similar role. Experience in IT management, network management, and cybersecurity principles is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge and ability to handle network-level problems, including switches, routers, firewalls, and other IT infrastructure devices.
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices and maintaining secure IT environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a good service aptitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous and excellent administrative work.
- Strong documentation skills, including writing manuals, presentations, and workflows.
- Willingness to engage in hands-on work and manage all aspects of the IT function as a one-person operation.
