Chief Technical Advisor - Static & Rotating

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform a supervisory role for static and rotating equipment/packages on offshore projects
  • Responsible for the design and selection of specialty rotating/static equipment on EPC projects, such as process gas compressors, gas turbines, sea water injection pumps, etc., through various engineering work phases (i.e., feasibility studies, conceptual design, FEED studies, and detailed engineering for offshore, FPSO and LNG Projects), pressure vessels, tanks, etc
  • Responsible for the selection of specialty rotating/static equipment on EPC projects in compliance with international API codes and client specification requirements
  • Prepare technical specifications and data sheets for specialty rotating/static equipment and packages
  • Responsible for the complete requisitioning of specialty rotating equipment and packages
  • Coordinate work with inter-disciplines, clients, and suppliers
  • Responsible for the technical evaluation of bids, preparing technical bid tabulation reports by interacting with suppliers, clients, and inter-disciplines
  • Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, and model review studies for packages, coordinate and close out mechanical-related issues
  • Perform vendor document and design reviews for specialty rotating equipment and packages
  • Support technical proposals


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 25 years of experience
  • Relevant experience working on EPC projects with reputed international clients, with a minimum of two offshore projects worked as Lead Engineer
  • A minimum of 15 to 20 years of offshore project experience (wellhead, fixed platforms, and FPSO) is preferred.
  • Well conversant with international industry codes such as ASME, API, etc
  • Possess coordination and communication skills, and very good knowledge of spoken and written English
  • Familiarity with NORSOK requirements and U.K. standards and regulations will be an added advantage, especially since the FPSO will operate in U.K. waters and must conform to certification requirements
