We are looking for a highly motivated DevOps System Automation Specialist to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of designers, developers, and business experts to create innovative solutions that blend the digital and physical realms.
Responsibilities:
- Automation & Architecture: Lead the development and management of internal engineering productivity tools and environments, driving automation, availability, scalability, and resilience.
- Cloud Expertise: Architect and plan for cloud deployments (both private and public) and provide hands-on DevOps architecture implementation and operational support.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop and operate continuous integration and deployment pipelines to enhance development efficiency.
- Monitoring & Problem-Solving: Implement monitoring automation to detect, predict, and prevent issues in the environment and codebase, ensuring smooth operation.
- Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, hands-on coding and mentoring, often in a pair programming setup.
- Future-Proofing: Ensure that all technical environments are future-proofed with best practices, processes, automation, and high levels of documentation.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Degree or Diploma in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong experience in DevOps automation, containerization, and orchestration using tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Docker.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, JavaScript.
- Cloud computing deployment and management experience, particularly with AWS.
- Agile & Networking:
- Practical experience working on Agile projects.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Preferred:
- Experience with highly scalable distributed systems.
- A broad knowledge base covering operating systems, networking, distributed computing, and cloud computing.
