The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- To assist the Project Manager of the day-to-day storage, preservation, and conservation, data management systems of SCCCI collections. This includes working at the external storage space (Helutrans) for 3-4 days until the completion of the stocktaking exercise, which involves moving and opening boxes, taking pictures, measuring dimensions, and conducting basic condition checks.
- To ensure accurate documentation, digitalisation and record-keeping of SCCCI collection.
- To work closely with the curatorial educational program team to develop exhibitions through the SCCCI collections.
- To support administrative work and develop an accessible, sustainable and inclusive collections management system for SCCCI collection.
- Any other duties assigned by HOD or SCCCI Management.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- Polytechnic diploma or university degree, preferably in the History or Arts and Social Sciences, with knowledge on Singapore and Chinese history and heritage.
- A good team player with excellent problem-solving skills who can work independently.
- Photography skill will be an advantage.
- Able to work outside regular office hours on event days (including evenings/nights, weekends and public holidays), especially on the first day of Chinese New Year (Off-in-Lieu will be given).
