The WSHE Officer (In-House trainer) is responsible for carrying out all the environmental, health and safety related training to create and maintain a safe workplace and culture.
A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:
- Conduct WSH training and activities professionally as per lesson plan
- Conduct & review the assessment as stated in the Assessment Plan
- Ensure training is conducted in a safe and conducive environment
- Provide administrative support in capturing the attendance, feedback etc of the learners
- Be up-to-date on the latest trends in training
- Ensure facility is always ready for trainees and well organised
- Ensure risk assessment control measures are implemented for their activities.
- Comply to the WSH Act, WSH (Workplace Safety and Health (Officers) Regulations and Environmental Public Health Act
Value Add of Position
- In-depth knowledge of WSHE legal guidelines to advise and facilitate site activities.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Education: Minimum Specialist Diploma in Safety, Health and Environment as stipulated in the Singapore Ministry of Manpower’s accepted WSH-related qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the Construction industry
- Registered WSHO with Ministry of Manpower
- Registered Environmental Control Officer with National Environment Agency
- Certification in Lifting Supervisors Safety Course
- Certification in Supervision of Metal Scaffold Erection Course
- Certification in Confined Space Safety Assessor Course
- Certification in Manage Hazardous Substances
- Certification in Control Noise and Vibration
- Certification in Work-At-Height (Supervisor)
