Resident Technical Officer (M&E) Healthcare - Sengkang

Responsibilities:

1. Assist M&E Engineer, Superintending Officer Representation (SO Rep) and Resident Engineer (RE) in the supervision and quality assurance of construction works on site
2. Provide standing supervision as and when required by the M&E Engineer, SO Rep and RE
3. To ensure all installation methods and material used are in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications
4. Liaise with the Contractors/ sub-contractors and other Resident Technical Officers (RTO) in the coordination of site works
5. Highlight discrepancies, resolve site M&E issues and monitor site progress
6. Feedback site progress and irregularities to M&E Engineer, SO Rep and RE
7. Attend site meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning
8. Check that the current project drawings and documents are available at the work site and ensure that superseded copies are removed and/or suitably marked up where not destroyed.
9. Witness all the inspection, testing and commissioning sessions performed by the subcontractors to ensure compliance with designs and specifications.
10. To check as-built drawings to tally with site installation
11. Ensure the contractors maintain work safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the site
12. Documentation of site records, ie. Inspection records, T&C records, site meetings etc.
13. Aware of the potential and actual OH&S hazards of his activities at the workplace and to highlight / communicate to the PM when he knows of any irregularities. He shall be aware of his individual OH&S obligations by ensuring that he is adequately equipped with appropriate safety gears, by observing closely to all safety rules / regulations / procedures at site and by attending all relevant site safety trainings.
14. Understands and adheres to the procedures as depicted in the ‘Site Administration Manual’, participate and support the company’s QEHS management system, including the QEHS Policy and Objectives.
15. Verify the contractors’ progress payment claim in terms of work done and materials/equipment delivered and stored at site

Requirements

1. Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical or Building Services Engineering from local Polytechnic or other tertiary institutions of equivalent standing
2. Minimum eight (8) years of M&E work experience as a Resident Technical Officer
3. Conversant in local construction practices, air-conditioning, electrical, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary services.
4. Good co-ordination skills
5. Good analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Self-motivated, proactive and team player
7. Past work experience in healthcare/residential/institutional projects is preferred.
8. Commencement Date: Q4 2024/Q1 2025
