- Organize and manage regular reports from assigned vessels, ensuring they are systematically filed.
- Review and follow up on routine reports from the vessels.
- Perform data analysis on costs, Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess the vessel's operational health from a ship management perspective.
- Ensure accurate and structured data input into the ship management system (GL system) by the crew onboard.
- Develop a dynamic work plan and action list in coordination with the vessel's command to maintain the vessel in line with the owner's policy and track its progress.
- Visit vessels as needed, reporting on their overall condition, repairs, maintenance, crew performance, safety, environmental protection, and any necessary actions. Discuss with the ship's command the work plan, operating costs, spares, stores, and other concerns, providing a report on these discussions.
- Prepare technical specifications for dockings and pre-purchase inspections in the Asia region.
- Assist with technical assessments for new vessel acquisitions.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role on Bulk Carriers.
- Prior experience as a Chief or Second Engineer with relevant sailing experience, preferably on Bulk Carriers. Alternatively, sailing experience on Bulk Carriers is essential.
- Experience in dry docking and technical management is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS) and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
