Project Engineer

Robert Bosch Security Solutions Pte. Ltd.

Our Bosch Security Solutions, a leading brand in Singapore with extensive range of products portfolio in the domain of video surveillance, intrusion detection, fire detection, voice alarm, public announcement systems, professional audio, and conferencing system as well as access control and management systems. Through the years, our products are well received by our Singapore based customers has collaborated with us through our design, implementation, and maintenance projects. As part of BOSCH’s business expansion strategy, our Security Solutions Business Unit is seeking for a technical competent Project Engineer to join our team in Singapore office.


Key Roles & Responsibilities:


1. Project Planning (30%):

  • Analyze and understand the project scope and checklist provided by the sales team.
  • Generate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and reconcile with the sales order.
  • Prepare and submit schematic designs and floorplans for approval.
  • Develop and submit detailed project schedules.
  • Provide product catalogues and sample approvals as needed.
  • Design customized equipment solutions based on project requirements.
  • Conduct site surveys with subcontractors and customers prior to project commencement.
  • Manage the procurement process and monitor inventory levels for necessary items.

2. Project Implementation (40%):

  • Attend project meetings and coordinate site activities with subcontractors and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and update the progress of installation works.
  • Track equipment delivery schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure all terminations are neat and correct.
  • Regularly update system design changes and amendments.
  • Conduct site inspections alongside client representatives.
  • Oversee the quality of subcontractor installations, ensuring adherence to standards and safety requirements.

3. System Testing (20%):

  • Conduct local equipment testing and validation.
  • Program and integrate system components.
  • Perform integrated system testing and troubleshoot issues.
  • Input customer data for system configuration.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm system readiness.

4. Administrative Support and Reporting (10%):

  • Compile and prepare Operation & Maintenance (O&M) documentation for handover.
  • Submit project files to the Project Coordinator for review and final approval by the Project Manager.
  • Act as the Project Manager’s deputy during absences, ensuring continuity of project leadership (as assigned by the Project Manager).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil) or a related field.
  • Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction, with hands-on experience in leading multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Proven track record in the commissioning and handover of large-scale engineering or construction projects.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software such as MS Project, AutoCAD, and other relevant industry software.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and working with subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to make critical decisions under pressure and resolve project-related issues efficiently.
  • Strong analytical skills to anticipate potential project challenges and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail in scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and client needs.
