Receptionist

Role:

This is a full-time, onsite, Receptionist Role in MOE Secondary School. If you are selected,

You will work closely with Principal, Vice-Principals, Administrative Manager, Teachers, SLs and Co-workers in an MOE Secondary School (nearest MRT- Tampines) in the day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities:

The Personnel shall be competent to perform the following:

Reception

• Handles the telephone calls; to pick up within 3 rings

• Manages the frontline counter duty; attending to all students, parents and walk-in visitors’ queries

• Handles incoming mails and distribution of letters to students/parents/teachers

• Attends to goods delivery on behalf of staff

• Attends to students leaving school early/injured students/admission to Sick Bay

General Admin

• Oversees the general housekeeping of the General Office (i.e reception area, conference room, sick-bay and pantry – assisted by Operations Support Officer (OSO)

• Arrange for temporary storage of received items in the General Office where necessary and inform relevant staff

• Assist with lost & found items

• Provides admin support to School Leaders and General Office Staff

• Assists in admin duties such as data entry, faxing, etc.

• Assists the Admin Managers in administrative tasks

• Any other duties assigned by School Leaders/AMs


Job Requirements:

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

1.Qualifications

GCE “O” level holder with 3 or more passes including English and Mother Tongue Language preferred

2. Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in front desk duty and/or customer service

• Experience in a MOE school environment is an advantage

3. Skills:

• Pleasant personality and appearance

• Has good written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and use of internet

• Can operate office equipment (e.g fax machines, photocopiers and printers)

(Above skills can be evident from past work experiences and interview (where applicable)


Summary:

Contract Period: From 1 Jan 2025 to 31 Dec 2025.

Working Hours:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 8.30 am to 5.45 pm (including 45 minutes lunch)

• Fridays: 9 am to 5.45 pm (including 45 minutes lunch)

• Service usually not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Location (Nearest MRT): Tampines
