Responsibilities
- Assess and provide individualized Occupational Therapy intervention for children (e.g. Sensory Processing & Integration, Self-Regulation & Emotional Regulation, Gross & Fine Motor / Handwriting, Focus & Attention, Organisational Skills, Visual Processing & Visual Motor Integration, Functional Play & Social Skills)
- Conduct group Occupational Therapy classes if required
- Establish good therapist – parent relationships through regular feedback and open communication. This includes providing parents and caregivers with updates on the child’s progress and relevant home strategies and recommendations after each session with the child.
- Write report to help children in need to get Access Arrangement
- Be proactive in keeping abreast of developments in the field of Pediatric Occupational Therapy
Requirements
- Full registration with Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
- Degree or Masters in Occupational Therapy
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player - work together with our child psychologist, speech therapist, educational therapist and/or EIP teacher
- Passion and commitment to help the kids and their parents
