Contract Duration: 16-20 months

As a key member of our Site Team, you will play an essential role in the successful delivery of our projects, utilizing your expertise and commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Qualified Person (Supervision) [QP(S)] to provide overall team direction and management, ensuring that project objectives are met with the highest technical and safety standards as required by the Superintending Officer and consultants.
- Assist QP(S) and/or QP(Geo) in reviewing construction proposals and overseeing the supervision of construction works carried out by Contractors.
- Provide standing supervision for civil and structural works in accordance with project specifications, construction drawings, and the Building Control Act and Regulations.
- Support QP(S) in managing and controlling a team of site staff, including Resident Technical Officers (RTOs), ensuring discipline, punctuality, and maintaining daily records of staff attendance and other administrative matters.
- Oversee all aspects of project construction, maintaining and submitting detailed records.
- Lead the RTOs in reviewing all drawings (including shop drawings and construction drawings) and specifications for discrepancies.
- Oversee the implementation of quality systems, materials approval, and compliance testing procedures.
- Supervise all civil and architectural works, including plumbing, sanitary, drainage, and sewer systems.
- Ensure that Contractor’s working procedures comply with agreed method statements and relevant workplace safety and health regulations, and make modifications as necessary to meet these standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Civil Engineer, including at least 3 years in supervising civil/structural and geotechnical works.
- At least 5 years of experience working as a Resident Engineer.
- Familiarity with extensive addition and alteration (A/A) works to existing operational buildings.
- Fully conversant with the Building Control Act and Regulations, with the ability to maintain site records, contract documents, and meet reporting requirements.
- Experience in civil works, including plumbing, sanitary, drainage, and sewer systems, is advantageous.
- Experience in Earth Retaining or Stabilizing Structures (ERSS) and deep excavation work is an advantage.
- Required experience in reinforced concrete piling work, including industrial building works.
- Supervisory experience in architectural works is required.
- Registered with IES/BCA as a Resident Engineer.
