Financial Controller

Petrobras Singapore Private Limited

Description:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting and finance department.
  • Review month end and year end accounting closing activities under the supervision of Finance Head.
  • Ensure compliance in local tax corporate income tax and government service tax computation with local tax advisory for tax filing in Singapore.
  • Management of company accounts and preparation of financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and Singapore Companies Act.
  • Ensure with high level of accuracy and timing, the preparation of various management reports and financial analysis for the company’s management.
  • Facilitate independent auditors to ensure consistent audit approach as group, audit processes are also streamlined to ensure prompt signing of group financial statement.
  • Maintain accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and defining accounting policies and procedures.
  • Supervise treasury functions of the company including cashflow forecasting, commercial financing, and investment.
  • Perform cash management roles and oversees accounts payable, receivable, disbursing of cash and bank settlement functions.
  • Ensure high level of performance and compliance to the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and share an in-depth knowledge of principles and concepts related to the finance and accounts activities.
  • Coach and provide guidance to junior professionals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of proven extensive experience in Accounting & Finance.
  • Experience in a leadership role.
  • University Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related. CPA, CA or CFA qualification is highly preferred.
  • Desired Post-Graduation (Masters, MBA others).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent understanding of internal controls, audit procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with data analysis and financial modeling is a plus.
  • Highly motivated and open-minded individual who enjoys working with employees of all levels in problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • People management experience is highly beneficial.
  • Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
