We are seeking an experienced and skilled Design Manager with a strong background in M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Engineering. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience, strong coordination and design skills, and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively. This role requires traveling 15-20% of the time, mainly to Thailand and Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Management: Oversee and coordinate with design consultants and Engineers of Record (EOR) to ensure project designs meet specifications, quality, and industry standards.
Manage internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and alignment across all project phases.
Review and approve design submissions, ensuring they meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
- Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to project specifications.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Prepare and present regular project updates to senior management, providing insights on progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Stakeholder and Authority Liaison: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Liaise with relevant authorities to secure necessary approvals and permits, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Coordination and Design Skills: Lead and guide the design team in developing efficient and practical M&E designs for various projects.
Provide technical expertise and guidance during the design and execution phases of projects.
Ensure designs are cost-effective, sustainable, and meet project requirements.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel 15-20% of the time, mainly to project sites in Thailand and Indonesia for design reviews, project meetings, and coordination.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in M&E Engineering, with a focus on design management.
- Proven project management skills; PMP or equivalent certification is a plus but not required.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in coordinating with design consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
- Ability to travel internationally as required.
