ICT Technical Assistant

Reporting To: ICT Department

Job Type: Full-Time, 1-Year Contract (1 Jan 2025 to 31 Dec 2025) with an option to extend for another year.
Working Hours:

  • Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30 am – 4:45 pm (inclusive of a 45-minute lunch break)
  • Fridays: 7:30 am – 4:15 pm (inclusive of a 45-minute lunch break)
  • No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays

Key Responsibilities:

Daily ICT Operations:

  • ICT Resource Management:Manage the inventory, asset management, and maintenance of ICT equipment.
    Handle the replacement and condemnation of outdated ICT equipment.
    Manage the loaning of ICT devices as required.
  • School Website and Portals:Update and maintain information on the school’s website and internal portals.
  • Non-SSOE Equipment Maintenance:Manage and maintain devices not covered under the Standard School Operating Environment (SSOE), including Chromebooks, MacBooks, Windows laptops, projectors, and visualizers.
  • Chromebook Management:Monitor students' usage of Chromebooks, using DMA software to maintain whitelists/blacklists.
    Provide first-line technical support for Chromebook-related issues and liaise with vendors for repairs.

Technical Support:

  • Events Support:Provide AVA/IT/Live-stream setup and technical support during school functions and events.
  • Ad Hoc Technical Support:Provide technical support to school staff when needed.
  • IT Training:Conduct ad hoc IT training sessions for staff and students as required.
  • Stock-Taking:Conduct stock-taking of all ICT resources (both equipment and software) twice a year.
  • Other Duties:Perform any additional ICT-related administrative or operational duties assigned by the school.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Minimum Education:GCE 'N' Level Certificate or equivalent (relevant work experience may offset the educational requirement).
  2. Required Skills:Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
    Ability to multitask and work both independently and in a team.
  3. Experience:At least 2 years of relevant working experience in an ICT-related role.
