Structural Analysis Engineer

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the various structural design drawings and specification calculations (main structure basic structure drawings, main structure specification calculation reports, general structure drawings, main structure detailed design drawings, local base drawings, opening drawings, etc.) of each stage of structural design (conceptual design, basic design, detailed design);
  • Estimate or calculate relatively accurate steel structure weight and center of gravity data based on the requirements of each design stage;
  • Write relevant content of the structure chapter of the specification;
  • Review and clarify communication of overall input information & basic design company input information;
  • Complete the corresponding structural submission drawings and specification calculation reports in accordance with the relevant specifications of the classification society for the project, and complete the clarification and closure of the classification society's rejection opinions;
  • Submission and clarification and closure of relevant structural drawings within the scope of the ship owner's submission list;

Requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, naval architecture and marine engineering, civil engineering, and offshore engineering, etc.
  • More than 8 years of experience in structural design or strength analysis, experience in FPSO transformation projects, and those with experience as structural supervisors are preferred;
  • Proficient in SACS, FEMAP, ABAQUS or SESAM software, and those with experience in offshore foundation design are preferred;
  • Familiar with the specifications of at least one commonly used international classification society, familiar with commonly used international conventions such as MODU CODE, and able to complete the overall strength analysis of offshore structures;
  • Familiar with the types and structural characteristics of international mainstream offshore products (semi-submersibles, jack-up platforms, FPSO, etc.);
  • Able to independently translate, read and understand English materials, and can conduct daily technical exchanges in English;
