The Singapore National Eye Centre/Singapore Eye Research Institute (SNEC/SERI) is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to take on a significant role in this exciting and rapidly developing research group.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the investigators to recruit, screen and follow-up on participants of the study, in strict adherence to the study protocol, Singapore Good Clinical Practice Guidelines and other applicable regulatory and ethical requirements
- Perform study procedures on research participants (consent taking, paperwork, ocular imaging-related tests, etc.)
- Perform digital general imaging, digital fundus imaging, digital optical coherent tomography scans and anterior segment/slit-lamp imaging and to carry out required tests on research participants
- Handle entry and validation of study data, extraction of relevant information from medical records, reporting of adverse events, maintenance of investigator files and other essential documentation
- Coordinate scheduling and conduct of clinic visits/tests for research participants, as well as related finances and logistics
- Keep inventory of digital imaging supplies
- Manage the implementation and coordination of the clinical studies under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI)
- Assess and give suggestions to improve digital image quality
- Conduct literature reviews and gather relevant information from scientific publications and databases to support research projects
- Organize and store research data in a systemic manner for easy retrieval and analysis
- Manage research data and ensure data integrity and security
- Perform image processing and modelling on novel ocular imaging data
- Compile and analyse data under supervision
- Prepare research reports and summarise findings
- Communicate research progress, findings, and challenges
- Assist in drafting research proposals and designing study
- Prepare, execute and ensure adherence to research plans
- Support in other functions such as general administration or coordination as required
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor in Life Sciences or related studies
- 1 year of relevant experience in ophthalmic imaging would be advantageous. Training will be provided
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and good time management skills
- Meticulous, efficiency, team player and possess good interpersonal skill
