Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with expertise in reclamation projects and related land works. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction and reclamation activities, ensuring that all works comply with local regulations, safety standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage reclamation and land work operations, including, temporary works, sand filling, and compaction activities.
- Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure all works comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Prepare and submit required reports, permits, and documentation for local authorities and project stakeholders.
- Conduct quality checks on materials and workmanship to ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Resolve any construction issues that arise on-site.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with client representatives, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
- Ability to clearly present project updates, resolve conflicts, and build positive relationships with management and all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land reclamation or land development projects.
- Experience with large-scale civil engineering projects, including coastal or marine environments, is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with local environmental and safety regulations.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work on-site 5.5 days per week at project locations.
