Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory and forecast stock levels.
- Ensure the accuracy of database information in Purchasing module.
- Coordinating with overseas & local suppliers regarding purchase-related issues and tracking shipment status.
- Develop supplier relationships, negotiate for optimal pricing, MOQ and lead times, ensuring punctual deliveries.
- Identify purchasing needs and ensure warehouse stock levels are adequate to support production.
- Coordinate purchasing activities with suppliers and internal departments such as production, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventories in a cost effective and timely manner.
- Preparation of purchasing activity reports and undertake ad hoc tasks as required by management.
Requirements:
- Min. Diploma or Degree holder with at least 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in SAP & MS Office.
- Resourceful and meticulous with excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills with Vendors and Stakeholders.
- Good interpersonal skills and a good team player.
