About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Visitor Relations Officer (SVRO) to lead and manage a team of Visitor Relations Officers (VROs) at a Gallery. The SVRO will oversee daily operations at the Information Counter, support public and school programmes, and ensure smooth coordination of visitor services. In addition, the SVRO will serve as a docent when required and maintain safety standards and administrative procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
● Plan and schedule monthly rosters for VROs and Gallery Management Officers (GMOs).
● Conduct daily safety briefings for VROs.
● Oversee the opening and closing of the Information Counter and SSG daily, including key management.
● Disseminate updated exhibit and tour information to VROs.
● Conduct monthly stock-taking for meeting rooms, the Information Counter, and First-Aid Kits; submit monthly reports to the Visitor Relations Executive (VRE).
● Provide first-aid assistance to public visitors.
● Deploy VROs for various duties (e.g., safe distancing, temperature screening, logistics setup, etc.) as needed.
● Train VROs in Information Counter duties and guided tours.
● Manage and issue collaterals (e.g., T-shirts, face masks, name tags) to incoming VROs, and collect them from outgoing staff.
● Record and safekeep general lost and found items; hand over valuable items to the VRE.
● Coordinate and schedule public tours and school programmes bookings.
● Perform general administrative duties, including managing audio guides, brochures, guest book signing logistics, and VIP visit arrangements.
● Inspect indiscriminate bicycle parking at the venue and coordinate with Facilities to dispose of unclaimed bicycles after one month.
● Conduct site recce for indoor rooms and assign VROs to manage pre- and post-event handovers.
Job Requirements:
● Minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant industries such as customer service, hospitality, or tourism.
● Diploma qualification in any discipline.
● Valid First-Aid and AED certification.
● Ability to pass the assessment prescribed by the Board for conducting tours within 6 weeks from the start of deployment.
Contract Details:
● Job Commencement Date: 1st January 2025.
● This is a contract-based position.
● The contract terms, including salary and benefits, will be discussed during the interview process.
Additional Information:
● The SVRO will report to the Visitor Relations Executive (VRE) and be part of the Events and Visits team.
● Transport claims, if any, will be reimbursed by the Contractor.
● The SVRO will be required to work weekends and after office hours when needed.
Remuneration Package:
● From $2750 per month
