Position: ICT Technical Assistant
Contract Period: 01 Jan 2025 to 31 Dec 2025
Location: Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road)

Working Hours:

  • Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30 AM to 4:45 PM (inclusive of 45-minute lunch break)
  • Fridays: 7:30 AM to 4:15 PM (inclusive of 45-minute lunch break)
  • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.

Scope of Services:

The ICT Technical Assistant will be responsible for managing the school’s daily ICT operations, particularly supporting the 1:1 Personalised Digital Learning Programme with a focus on student Chromebooks. The services required include:

  • ICT Resource Management:Inventory and asset management, including maintenance, replacement, condemnation, and loaning of ICT equipment.
    Managing and maintaining non-SSOE equipment, including Chromebooks, MacBooks, Windows laptops, projectors, and visualisers.
    Providing first-line technical support for students' Chromebook devices and liaising with vendors for repair and collection.
    Monitoring students' Chromebook usage and maintaining whitelist/blacklist settings using DMA software.
  • School Website & Portal Management:Updating information on the school website and portals as needed.
  • Technical Support:Providing AVA/IT/Live-stream setup support during school functions and events.
    Offering ad hoc technical support to staff members when necessary.
  • Training & Stock-Taking:Conducting occasional IT training sessions for both staff and students.
    Performing stock-taking of all ICT resources (equipment and software) twice yearly.
  • Administrative Duties:Assisting with any other ICT-related administrative or operational tasks as required.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum Qualifications:GCE 'N' Level Certificate or equivalent (educational certification may be offset by relevant work experience).
  • Skills Required:Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
    Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience:At least 2 years of relevant working experience in ICT technical support or a similar role.
