About the Job
The Program Department plays one of the most critical roles in Cyrus. Every new project in Cyrus begins with you leading the project team and laying the groundwork to ensure a smooth and successful completion. Regardless of technical challenges or scheduling conflicts, you will lead, guide, and inspire your project team members, managing every facet of the project's development and collaborating with your team to resolve problems while staying focused on your commitments to the customers.
Your key responsibilities are as follows:
- To strategise, organise, govern, and manage a project within a predetermined timeframe that is committed to customer.
- To successfully complete New Product Introduction (NPI) projects by meeting all the specifications and requirements and advancing them towards mass production, including anticipating and mitigating potential risks that may negatively impact the projects.
- To engage and work with customers on product specifications, requirements, costs, schedules, and quality.
- To generate and provide quotations for tools and moulded parts, upon receipt of Request for Quotation (RFQ).
- To collaborate internally with tool designer and engineering team on design for manufacturing (DFM) and proactively manage program documentations, technical and engineering changes.
- To update the status of on-going programs to the management.
- To consistently pursue for new customers.
- To establish and nurture a robust and affirmative rapport with our key customers to secure new and additional projects and pursue new customers to strengthen sales pipeline.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
- Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering/precision engineering.
- Knowledge with practical experience in the field of plastic injection and injection tool fabrication, or mechanical product design is needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership to lead, guide and inspire the project team to produce quality work and stay committed to all deliverables.
- Business oriented, meticulous, and cost sensitive.
- Ability to analyse, solve problems and decision making.
- Strong organisational skills with a can-do attitude to always improve and initiate new ways of working to achieve results.
