Introduction to the job

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) works closely with our supply chain to build, maintain and strengthen our ability to deliver on our commitments to our customers. We take on the short-term challenges while building strong, strategic, mutually beneficial relationships with our suppliers that carry us into the future.

Within SS&P, the Southeast Asia (SEA) Supply Chain Development Team is tasked to drive the sector’s roadmap for growing ASML’s SEA-based supply chain. Its responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Articulation of the strategy and objectives of supply chain expansion in SEA to support ASML global footprint, industrial strategy and SS&P cluster strategies
  • Identification and quantification of opportunities for sourcing transfers to SEA, incl. new supplier development
  • Construction of a SEA SC development roadmap
  • Running the program and decision making governance in support of the SEA SC development roadmap
  • Orchestrating of the roadmap’s execution
  • Orchestrate capability upskill (design improvement/ TPD completion)
  • Landing of matured transfers in the standing SS&P organization

Role and responsibilities

  • Maintain and drive the central southeast Asia development to ensure success of cluster strategies,

- Standardize SEA Expansion framework and process supported by strong data analytics Business case development

- Provide Ad-hoc support to clusters in transfer programs over suppliers / parts

- Proactively drive x-cluster / x-region SEA development roadmap with resource needs

- Execute one aligned SEA supply chain development roadmap based on assessed pain points in existing supplier landscape (e.g. capacity constraints, capabilities, Cost)

  • Govern the development of a SEA local parts catalogue
  • Set up robust process landscape for SEA activities
  • Implementation roadmap to grow SEA Supply Chain

Education and experience

  • You have 10-15 years of experience in strategy/management consulting, or similar background.
  • Deep expertise on supply chain processes and constraints, including strong knowledge and experience in QLTCS balancing, Logistics networks and cost management
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and constraints, product life cycle/ market dynamics
  • Strong internal network within ASML and understanding of processes and policies required
  • You have demonstrated experience in leading teams in a complex organization and in the field of strategy, manufacturing, supply chain management or similar.
  • You have demonstrated experience in independently leading strategy programs for ExCom and BoM level decision makers.
  • To qualify for this position, you need to be able to demonstrate deep analytical skills and at the same time very strong people and communication skills. Typically a completed quantitative study at master or PhD level (e.g. operations research, econometrics, mathematics, engineering or physics) serves as a good basis to be successful in this role while an affinity with business or (finance) economics will be essential, a MBA is a plus. The essential quantitative skills that are required in this job should in such case be demonstrated through specific and equivalent past working experience.

  • You are a self-aware team player, flexible and with a proactive approach you thrive in a highly demanding, dynamic environment.
