PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and oversee operations of the laboratory in Singapore and Malaysia (including employees and sales), develop and achieve company plans, goals and budgets for the tesing laboratory and inspection. Improve process efficiency; expand testing capability and capacity to cope with the business needs.
- Establish appropriate testing programs for new and nontraditional business.
- Travel to ASEAN countries (Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam) and China to develop business for buying office, agent and local factories.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the Profit & Loss, Growth and Sustainability of the Company.
- Plan, propose and implement the development of new products and services to increase market share. Assure monitoring of the overall company service portfolio.
- Provide technical consultation and training for clients in the area of product quality, testing package development and safety regulation.
- Drive profitability through increasing sales and controlling costs whilst maintaining company operating cost
- Lead the QA team in internal and external lab accreditation process.
- Communicate with clients (local and overseas), solving the technical problems and handling complaints. Align the technical interventions with the needs of the clients
- Ensure standards of testing, service quality, selection and usage of equipment and tooling, and employees performance are maintained to the highest possible level.
- Implement and ensure the company Health and Safety Policy is met at all times. Provide resources (financial and others) for the establishment, implementation and maintenance of the I4SE system
- Oversee talent development and succession planning, leading and coaching both direct and functional reports in sales and business development teams to achieve strong revenue growth and operating results.
