Job Scope
- Conduct H&M casualty inspections on all types of vessels
- Communicate with Insurers, Brokers and Owners as required
- Prepare comprehensive reports, addressing nature, extent and cause of damage
- Assist with estimating total cost of repairs
- Conduct H&M loss prevention and MWS surveys
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections performed
- Adhere to strict safety standards when conducting inspections
- Travel to survey sites around Asia as required
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Class 1 Motor or Steam Unlimited Certificate of Competency and/or superintendents experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in marine engineering or naval architecture or related field
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience as an H&M surveyor
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English
