Position Purpose
The functional scope is within APAC IT with a focus on FO Book, PNL & Risk applications. Specifically it provides support and development for the risk and PnL books for Equity Derivatives platform in Hong Kong for Exotics, Delta one, Convertible Bonds, Warrant and Volatility trading desks. The role includes support, development and project management. The role is based in Hong Kong on our trading floor.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide IT Development and Support for APAC Global Equities trading desks.
· Evaluate requests from regional Trading/Quants/MO/RiskGM and deliver tactical IT solutions reliably and efficiently.
· Collaborate with the global team for development, projects and follow the sun support.
· Implement IT solutions within the framework of the technology strategy of BNPP.
· Provide system and process documentation.
· Shift duty, weekend and holiday work are required.
Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)
Mandatory Technical Skills:
· Java, Python, Windows Server, Unix
Management/Leadership/Communication/Interpersonal:
· Experience of working in front office environment
· Self-starter, able to work under own initiative
· Strong analytical skills
· Emphasis on communication skills and confidence in high pressure environment
· Experience in change controls, incident management
Specific Qualifications Valued
· 2+ years’ experience supporting/developing in a financial workplace environment. Solid experience on application support for equities business.
· Equity derivative product and valuation knowledge.
· Technical understanding of Windows, Linux and Network.
