Assistant Manager /AVP (Life Claims)

Morgan McKinley is seeking an Assistant Manager /AVP (Life Claims) for a 12 month contract assignment with a possibility to extend or to go perm!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end claims adjudication process for various Life Claims, including Death, Critical Illness, Total Permanent Disability (TPD), Life Hospital and Surgical, and Personal Accident claims, ensuring prompt and accurate handling.
  • Conduct thorough control and remediation activities within the Claims Department to ensure compliance with internal standard operating procedures (SOP), regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Perform daily and monthly claims quality assurance checks, verifying alignment with KPIs and claims SOP. Implement corrective and preventive measures as necessary.
  • Address claims inquiries efficiently from both customers and distribution channels, ensuring a high level of service.
  • Support various departmental activities, including administrative tasks related to life claims, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in a relevant field with significant 5 years experience in life and/or group term life claims; insurance industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Mid-level claims assessors seeking greater challenges in claims, compliance, and risk mitigation will find this position a perfect opportunity for exposure and professional growth.
  • Experience working in insurance companies with a strong interest in risk and compliance, particularly in claims management.
