The College of Computing & Data Science (CCDS) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow. This role is open to psychology graduates with strong coding skills in implementing deep reinforcement learning algorithms for predicting eye movements in visual search. Candidates will design and conduct human behavioral experiments while developing neuroscience-inspired AI models. They will also benchmark AI and human visual search behaviors in multi-target foraging tasks, contributing to cutting-edge research at the intersection of psychology and AI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing AI models
- Designing and conducting human behavioral experiments
- Mentoring and co-working with lab members in at least 1 research project
Job Requirements:
- PhD in psychology is required
- Strong computational background
- Have coding experiences in deep reinforcement learning and deep learning
- Strong neuroscience backgrounds especially in designing and conducting human behavioral experiments
- Able to communicate in English fluently in both speaking and writing as required for research work
