Role:
A Business Analyst takes on the critical role of eliciting high-level API requirements, formulating API specifications, collaborating with stakeholders, and ultimately shaping the API's structure.
Key Responsibilities:
· The role of a Business Analyst in API design is of paramount importance, as they bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation
· Eliciting high-level API requirements, formulating API specifications, collaborating with stakeholders, and ultimately shaping the API's structure.
· To ensure a comprehensive understanding of the API requirements, he/she should meticulously document their findings in Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs). These documents encapsulate both functional and non-functional requirements.
· Should engage the Scrum team to refine and prioritize the backlog based on risks, issues, and dependencies. Careful sprint planning, taking into account team capacity and velocity, is essential.
· Review SIT test cases, define UAT test scope and develop UAT test scenarios/cases in ensuring the requirements are fully tested and traceability to original requirements.
· Engage with UAT stakeholders on requirements walkthrough and UAT test cases review.
· Assist in defect triage during SIT and UAT on requirement clarifications.
