Founded in 2011, Empact is a leading social enterprise with a mission to build the capacity of social organisations (referred to as non-profit organisations and social enterprises) in Singapore and the region. Our aim for our capacity building efforts is to empower these social organisations to be empowered for greater impact.
Through our cross-sector collaboration with sector developers, government, grantmakers, corporates and volunteers, we bridge the capacity gap of the social sector by channeling talents, skills and resources to co-create innovative solutions to address the various needs of social organisations.
To date, Empact has impacted and empowered more than 2,000 social organisations in the region, with a contribution of savings amounting up to $9 million worth of professional services that have been rendered pro bono for the social sector.
In 2023, Empact won the President's Challenge Social Enterprise Champion of the Year award. In 2022, Empact won the President's Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards City of Good (for Pro Bono School with our corporate partners) and was also recognised as a Champion of Good.
RESPONSIBILITIES
An Overview
We are inviting an analytical and creative individual to be part of our team of consultants in the Impact & Strategy practice. You will be working together with the team to deliver and contribute to advisory projects through solution and value co-curation, project administration and stakeholder engagement to build the capacities and capabilities of social organisations, and leveraging rigorous analysis and evidence-based decision-making to drive meaningful social change. Your job role will cover:
- Consultancy: Contribute to advisory and consultancies to clients through solution development, value creation, problem solving, stakeholder engagement to build capacities and capabilities of social organisations. Consultancy areas may cover social impact framework development, impact evaluation and monitoring, capability building workshops, strategic philanthropy, etc
- Project Administration and Communication: Provide project administration support for Project Manager and team along the project lifecycle to ensure smooth project delivery. Act as a day-to-day communication point for clients, responding to queries and supporting general project management activities
- Project Coordination: Take the lead in project management and client engagement for smaller projects
- Advisory Design & Innovation, Strategic Partnership: Contribute to advisory innovation ideas, strategic partnership & knowledge management to support business growth and competitiveness in the market
- Data Analysis: Support team in the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative studies and data
- Social Research and Data Collection: Support the team or independently conduct various types and methods of social research to inform consultancy approach or sectoral impact initiatives
- Business Development: Contribute to or provide support in project proposal development
- Bachelor Degree, majored in Public/Social Policy, Business Administration/ Analytics, Psychology & Behavioural Science, Social Work/Sociology or other related fields
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience i.e., in consulting / advisory, organisational development, training and development, programme evaluation, business and data analytics, facilitation, project management or other related areas
- Possess strong analytical thinking skills, good with numbers, good interpersonal skills and communication skills, take initiative, customer service oriented
- Tech-savvy, preferably comfortable with using different analytics tools and CRM / ERP systems
- Have familiarity of the community and social service sector (landscape, key agencies, resources and social agencies)
