This exciting opportunity will see the candidate working closely with all key stakeholders and department leads on various projects. The ability to interact and communicate with internal and external customers and clients is essential to establish effective data transfer through the systems to enable project delivery. The candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of key reports for use by all projects and corporate purposes. The ability to analyze data and report findings in a clear and understandable manner is key.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess project requirements and risks to configure internal systems in a way that ensures project success
- Define functional requirements for the development and modification of internal systems to address project-specific needs
- Work with project(s) to ascertain their specific reporting requirements. Develop and deploy live and interactive reporting through SSRS and/or Power BI
- Identify scenarios for automation where necessary for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects that require large volumes of data to be exchanged between parties
- Batch process uploads of various datasets, including unstructured data, to be manipulated into structured data for loading
- Be accountable for advancements in reporting, such as enabling automation in processes
- Provide day-to-day support and administration activities for both internal and external users of the systems, including the compilation of user guides/job aids
- Conduct system training sessions on an individual or group basis
Job requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience
- Prior experience in the development and use of SSRS/Power BI/SQL (Oracle or MS SQL-Server) reporting
- An understanding of typical supply chain processes, including a good understanding of material control processes both in the home office and on-site
- Proven track record of systems support/implementation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
