Step into a global role with Bunker Holding, the leading force in marine fuel and lube oil supply. As our Group Compliance Officer, you will collaborate with international teams across Singapore, Aalborg, and Houston to uphold our commitment to integrity and excellence.
As our new Group Compliance Officer based in Singapore, you will join an international compliance team with other colleagues in Aalborg and Houston. In your new role, you will advise the business functions on vetting of counterparties, vessels and trades. You will also be responsible for conducting onboarding of counterparties with due diligence checks and screenings. Additionally, you will work with the business and support functions to implement compliance policies and address queries. You will also assist in implementing the compliance framework (the code of conduct, anti-bribery corruption, economic trade sanctions, anti-money laundering, whistleblower awareness) across the Group.
Furthermore, your responsibilities include:
· Communicating and coordinating with external parties and relevant internal teams, such as Accounts, Commercial, Credit and IT, to facilitate the onboarding process.
· Developing metrics to monitor and measure effectiveness of compliance framework and gather data for regular reporting.
· Ensuring necessary documentation is obtained and verified in relation to the onboarding and due diligence processes.
· Maintaining documentation of compliance activities, such as training and framework development
· Conducting trainings independently for employees at different levels, developing training materials and monitoring training progress.
· Providing Group-wide support for other regional and global compliance initiatives and controls.
· Identifying ethics and compliance matters that require follow-up or investigation, and as appropriate, provide assistance.
The ideal candidate
We imagine that you have a good understanding of legal and compliance concepts, such as anti-bribery corruption, economic trade sanctions, anti-money laundering, whistleblower awareness and counterparty due diligence. Industry knowledge and/or experience from a similar role will be considered as an advantage. Furthermore, we expect that you are:
