Package Engineer

As a Package Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating between vendors, yards, and project owners, managing various stages of equipment delivery, and ensuring smooth operations from the start of the project to final commissioning. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reporting directly to the Package Manager.
  • Performing interface management between Vendors, the yard, and the Owner.
  • Reviewing and ensuring that Vendor’s documents and drawings are compliant with specifications.
  • Overseeing vendor progress to ensure timely completion and delivery in line with project plans.
  • Coordinating and attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and reviewing FAT procedures.
  • Approving Vendor packing lists and managing delivery schedules.
  • Conducting site visits to verify equipment readiness and coordinating installation activities.
  • Managing overall Vendor Call Outs and site service engineers.
  • Leading site pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, in collaboration with the Commissioning Manager.
  • Closing out final documentation with vendors upon project completion.
  • Traveling overseas for work as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum: Diploma in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 5 years in the marine, offshore, or renewable sectors, with relevant exposure to package engineering.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to constructively address conflicts.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in interface management, vendor coordination, and project delivery.
  • Familiarity with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), site inspections, and commissioning processes.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for work assignments.
