The Role: You will ensure a smooth patient journey by involving in patient engagement activities as well as effectively managing admission/discharge paperwork, and leading a small team of junior staff.
Key Accountabilities:
· Serve as liaison person between multiple stakeholders to coordinate all activities in the Local/Satellite Business Office, to ensure a seamless journey for patients, which includes monitoring patient's arrivals, fetching patient to ward, engaging discharging patient and arranging limousine service.
· Perform admission process, which includes providing financial counselling
· Perform in-flight accounts follow up and monitoring deposit reports
· Perform Billing during discharge
· Perform Cashiering – payment collections (credit card, cash, nets, cheques)
· Management of junior staff which includes assist in training and guiding new and junior staff in work processes and functions, roster and deployment planning, conducting appraisals
· Handle difficult customer queries pertaining to admission/in-flight collections/Drs Fees billing and cashiering processes and functions that is referred by PAO.
· Uphold patient experience/service excellence expectations which includes handling and/or guiding junior staff in handling difficult customers pertaining to admission/in-flight collections/Drs Fees billing and cashiering processes and functions
· Ensure operational excellence by meeting department KPIs and conducting audits
· Perform any other tasks as assigned by superiors
Qualifications & Experience:
· Degree, or
· Diploma Level with min 2 years working experience
· (Healthcare related/ Accounting/ Finance/ Banking Hospitality / Mass Communication/ Marketing)
Skills & Knowledge:
· Candidate must have computer literacy with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, good team player with ability to multi-task, is patient and tolerant in handling difficult customers, mature, value and outcome driven and possess a pleasant personality.
· Effectively bilingual to communicate with patients
· Prior experience in training and guiding staff would be an added advantage.
