ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for an inspirational, highly motivated and hands-on leader with strong commercial and strategic sense, who also has strong controllership, hands-on operating and experienced in communicating effectively with key stakeholders globally to drive overall business performance. The successful candidate should have potential to develop and grow up towards management role in the organisation.
Overall Accounting Management:
- Lead and co-ordinate the Finance teams globally including align and co-ordinate across globally with management, operations, finance teams and other key stakeholders.
- Responsible to oversee all aspects of the finance functions, management reporting and project accounting for CULINES Group.
- Participate and lead any ad hoc projects assigned to drive global and local initiatives.
- Oversee all accounting procedures and processes of business units, perform regular accounting audit of each subsidiary on behalf of regional HQ.
- Responsible for the procedures and financial management as well as developing policies on overseas financial reports for group and local accounting principles, taxes, regulatory agencies, and other financial groups related on behalf of regional finance.
- Manage and maintain the regional’s tax database, ensure each business units comply with regulations by forwarding required information to local authorities.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Develop and monitor budgets for each company, collaborating with stakeholders to track expenses, implement cost control measures, and optimize financial resources.
- Manage regional forecasting across all operations. Coordinate preparation of monthly forecasts.
- Develop trend analysis and consolidation of all P&L and cashflow/balance sheet forecasts for all operations.
- Conduct monthly variance analyses through result evaluation to recommend business process improvements. Develop root cause analysis and gap closure plans when results are not as per financial plan expectations.
- Develop and lead annual Financial Planning process across the region including budgets, forecast and variance analysis working with budget owners. Develop and present financial plans and projections to senior management.
- Enhance and standardize the current project and SOP review and accounting practice in CULINES.
- Handle project financial management for international and Singapore projects (if any).
- Provide lessons learnt and refreshment training to the team members.
- Act as business partner to all business units and proactively offer both support and advice to Business Leaders to ensure the best outcomes.
- Any other duties assigned by Group CFO and/ or Management.
To be successful in this role you will require the following:
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Degree holder in Finance or Accounting or a related field. Qualified member of recognized Professional Accounting Qualifications, e.g. CPA, ACCA or equivalent Professional certification is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant global/ regional FP&A/ commercial experience in MNC environment (prior Big 4 experience highly regarded but not essential)
- Possess strong financial modelling and analysis skills; good business acumen and ability to identify data anomalies, trends or deviations and introduce strategies for improvement.
- Experience in managing and leading a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Advanced financial modelling skills, with the ability to handle and process large amount of data.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide actionable recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial reporting.
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skill.
- Able to work collaboratively with people from different levels, functions and cultural background.
- Proficient in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese-speaking counterparts based in China HQ.
