Role:
- Verify crew qualifications and documentation.
- Apply for necessary flag state endorsements and certificates.
- Plan and monitor timely crew changes prior to contract completion.
- Prepare Seafarer Employment Agreements in line with regulated wage structures.
- Maintain and update crew records in the crew management system (Danaos).
- Track the expiration of crew documents and arrange renewals or repatriations as needed.
- Handle visa applications, flight arrangements, and hotel bookings.
- Ensure all required permits, invitation letters, guarantee letters, and travel schedules are secured before mobilization.
- Prepare and manage claims for crew travel expenses.
- Manage and document crew insurance claims related to medical issues or injuries.
- Oversee seafarer performance appraisals and support career development.
- Ensure compliance with company policies for all crewing matters on assigned vessels.
- Apply for or renew Collective Bargaining Agreements and ITF Blue Cards annually.
- Participate in annual crew budget planning and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Address crew welfare issues promptly, ensuring their well-being.
- Stay informed of international maritime regulations and ensure compliance.
- Be ready to coordinate emergency responses and crew evacuations if required.
- Organize and facilitate training programs to enhance crew skills and knowledge.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma with 1-2 years of relevant marine industry experience.
- Experience with Singapore port limit harbour craft manning processes, including work permit applications, renewals, manning licenses, pilot exemptions, MPA-mandated training, and Inland Revenue crew tax management, is a plus.
- Ability to manage overseas manning agents and seafarers from Indonesia; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills to effectively manage issues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize under pressure.
- Strong customer service orientation, particularly in addressing crew needs.
