Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical operations and maintenance of assigned oil tankers, ensuring their compliance with safety, statutory, and company standards.
- Ensure vessels meet technical performance standards and maintain operational efficiency.
- Oversee the updating and organization of vessel certificates and documentation.
- Implement the company's maintenance plans and ensure their successful execution.
- Organize and manage vessel surveys, including class, statutory, and other required inspections.
- Coordinate and supervise dry-dockings, as well as any necessary repairs and maintenance work.
- Evaluate and support the ongoing development of the vessel crew’s technical capabilities.
- Develop and control the technical budget for vessels under management.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the management.
Requirements:
- Seagoing experience as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer on tankers (minimum COC Class 2 or 3), or 2+ years of experience as a Technical Superintendent for oil or bunker tankers.
- Strong ethics, professionalism, and integrity in all dealings.
- Proven leadership and management abilities, with strong teamwork and communication skills.
