What you get to do in this role:
- This position reports to: Senior Manager, Revenue Recognition
- Serve as a revenue recognition and finance subject matter expert and partner with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal and Sales Operations during the contract negotiation process by analyzing the impact of contract terms, communicating the revenue impact, and offering alternative structures
- Collaborate with Finance business partners on revenue metrics, forecasts, and projections
- Manage and align contract negotiations and contract terms to key financial performance metrics
- Assess revenue recognition for contracts in the process of being negotiated in accordance with ASC 606
- Exercise judgment within defined policies and authoritative guidance to determine appropriate action related to revenue-related transactions and documenting considerations and conclusions
- Educate stakeholders through creation and delivery of training for revenue recognition rules, key finance performance metrics, policies, and practices
- Challenge and assist in process improvements and implementation to further streamline Finance processes and shorten financial close cycle to ensure scalability
- Monitor relevant US GAAP and SEC developments and international developments to ensure finance policies and procedures are compliant
- Provide operational support for projects within a matrix organization
