### *Job Summary*:
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the courier service, ensuring smooth and efficient package handling, timely deliveries, and compliance with safety and company standards. The role includes managing a team of drivers, couriers, and warehouse personnel while optimizing routes and ensuring customer satisfaction.
### *Key Responsibilities*:
- *Supervision*: Lead, coach, and supervise a team of delivery drivers, warehouse staff, and support personnel. Provide ongoing training and performance feedback.
- *Daily Operations*: Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including package sorting, route planning, dispatching, and deliveries to ensure efficient workflows.
- *Route Optimization*: Ensure the optimization of delivery routes for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness, leveraging technology and route planning tools.
- *Customer Service*: Resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely manner while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
- *Safety Compliance*: Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and internal policies. Conduct safety training and regular safety checks.
- *Performance Monitoring*: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, customer satisfaction, and operational costs to meet company goals.
- *Inventory Management*: Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure sufficient supply of packaging materials, uniforms, and other equipment.
- *Collaboration*: Work closely with other departments, including sales and customer service, to improve operational efficiency and resolve service issues.
- *Scheduling*: Plan and manage employee schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels for daily operations and peak times.
- *Problem Solving*: Troubleshoot operational challenges, including late deliveries, vehicle breakdowns, and personnel shortages.
- *Reporting*: Prepare and submit regular operational reports to management, including productivity, cost-efficiency, and performance updates.
### *Qualifications*:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in logistics, courier, or transportation services.
- Strong understanding of courier operations, route planning, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on customer satisfaction.
- Valid driver’s license may be required.

- Primarily office-based with time spent in warehouses and with delivery drivers in the field.
