Job Description & Requirements
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead the team's engineering effort across one main product they own and other products they support.
This position requires Full Stack engineering expertise and preferably some experience in adjacent fields like mobile development
Responsibilities:
A Senior Software Engineer's responsibilities are defined by these 3 pillars
- Write code to solve business problems.
- Enforce engineering quality through mentoring.
- Managing project progress and communicating with stakeholders.
Day to day responsibilities of this role
- Work with product owners, product managers and designers to define business requirements, product feature specifications, and projected timelines.
- Plan, Design, Lead and Build full stack web products end to end, being the technical owner of one main product.
- Enforce engineering quality through code reviews and mentorship.
- Solving challenging technical issues as they arise and developing strategies to prevent further issues.
- Capable of supporting the team across multiple products / codebases when needed.
- Actively manage and communicate progress with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Full stack web development experience, preferably on larger products with complex business requirements or legacy products.
- Track record of building and delivering solutions end to end, regardless of whether they are greenfield projects or legacy products.
- Proven ability to work with new and unfamiliar technology independently without much guidance.
- Experience with working on large codebases, and keeping them maintainable through code reviews, testing, proper rollout strategies, telemetry, and proactive changes.
- Experience with React(NextJS/ Remix/ VueJS/ SolidJS/ Angular/ Svelte) , Flow (typescript / Javascript), CSS in JS solutions, Hacklang PHP (java/ C#), GraphQL, SQL, Graph DBs, Python.
- Some hands on experience with mobile development
