We are seeking a dedicated Resident Engineer to join our team for an exciting project with the Land Transport Authority (LTA). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of road signage and other civil works, adhering to the strict guidelines set by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and LTA.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and verify project documents, maintaining accurate engineering records.
• Coordinate and supervise civil and structural construction projects, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and regulatory authorities.
• Attend site meetings, conduct inspections, and ensure site progress aligns with project timelines.
• Supervise site activities, ensuring all works meet project specifications, construction drawings, and relevant regulations.
• Oversee inspections of formwork, steel reinforcements, retaining walls, and ground anchors, ensuring adherence to design standards.
• Ensure proper site clearance and compliance with approved plans from agencies.
• Implement control measures, including vector control, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections to resolve discrepancies, prevent delays, and maintain progress.
• Manage administrative duties such as site attendance, inspections, and leave records.
• Review contractor submissions and approve Requests for Inspection (RFI).
• Lead a team of technical supervisors, ensuring that all site activities meet client requirements and safety standards.
• Report regularly to C&S QP, liaising with regulatory bodies and contractors to resolve site issues and ensure timely project completion.
• Assist in the preparation of duty rosters, daily/weekly reports, and monthly submissions.
• Ensure all project documents are audit-compliant, both in soft and hard copy formats.
Job Requirements:
• Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from a university accredited by the Singapore Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
• Registered Resident Engineer with IES/ACES.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a civil engineer, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role (Experience in geotechnical and deep excavation works is preferred).
• Experience in projects of a similar nature under LTA Civil Contracts.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in problem-solving.
