DESCRIPTION
The Junior Structural Engineer reports to the Project Engineering Manager and shall be responsible for technical compliance with all design requirements and coordination with the necessary Client and Subcontractor’s discipline engineering professionals. Junior Structural engineer shall ensure that all de-signs comply with the requirements of the Work; that all Work is efficiently and effectively executed in accordance with the criteria, specifications and standards listed in the CONTRACT; and that the designs comply with safe and reasonable standards as accepted within the offshore oil and gas industry. The Junior Structural Engineer shall be responsible for his/her scope of work as given below:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Structural Engineer to prepare and review key project documentation in executing the complete scope of structural, naval and hull engineering scope of work as per the project requirements.
- Assist Senior Engineer to prepare and review topside module and hull structure drawings, layouts and specifications.
- Ensure that technical compliance with all design requirements is met.
- Prepare and review detailed calculations, analysis, and solutions to deliver safe, secure and fully functional facilities.
- Interface with Client’s structural Engineering team to resolve the technical issues.
- Provide work progress reports.
- Accountable for the quality engineering deliverables.
- Achieve safety standards as defined in Project requirements.
- To achieve project completion to the project specifications on schedule.
- Support project planning as necessary.
- Assist Field Engineering support during construction phase of the project.
- Assist Lead Structural Engineer to Coordinate with internal and external parties for monitoring and controls.

- Environmental Aspects & Impacts Assessment.
- OHS Hazardous & Risk Assessment.
- Follow HSE Regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum educational requirements of a bachelor’s degree in structural engineering or equivalent.
- Learn independently how to work and help out on FPSO projects.
- Minimum 0-2 years’ experience, preferably in Oil & Gas projects (fixed installations and FPSOs),
- Will be Good to have experience using structural software such as SACS, ANSYS mechanical, etc., or equivalent.
- Shall be skilled with commonly used business software applications such MS Office, MS project and drafting software such as AutoCAD and simulation software such as ORCA flex.
- Assist lead Structural Engineer to support the development and implementing recommendations from third party safety studies and workshops, including HAZID/ENVID, SIL Classifications, Smoke, Gas, Fire and Explosion Risk Analyses, QRA, ALARP assessments, Fire and Gas Mappings and Noise Studies.
