Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly experienced Assistant Manager, Piping on behalf of our client in the engineering sector. Reporting to the Piping Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all piping engineering activities are completed efficiently, on schedule, and within the required specifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing the progress of piping engineering work, evaluating potential changes, and coordinating activities to meet project timelines and budget requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Review and assess all piping layout work, including 3D models, material take-offs (MTO), bill of quantities (BQ), and other project deliverables to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and quality standards.
  • Assist in the planning and organization of piping engineering activities, including manpower allocation for projects.
  • Develop and prepare departmental procedures, manuals, and training guides, and conduct training for team members.
  • Provide engineering support and technical advice for piping installation and testing at construction sites.
  • Execute other responsibilities as assigned by the Piping Manager.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in piping design, including detailed design, stress evaluation, and construction engineering support.
  • Proficient knowledge of Caesar II for stress analysis and AutoCAD for piping layout.
  • Basic knowledge of 3D model reviews through Naviswork or SPR.
  • Ability to interpret stress/vibration analysis reports.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply complex mathematical concepts to piping calculations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
