Responsibilities:
Accounting & Reporting (30%):
- Supporting the day to day general ledger accounting and reconciliation, financial reporting and analysis – Using QuickBooks (or Xero)
- Support in all monthly, quarterly and annual close activities which include analyzing accounts, journal entries (and/or amending them), performing account reconciliations, and preparing reports and financial documents
- GST-Filing: Collate all the necessary documentation and reports, ensure approval by Company Directors and submit to Head of Finance
Finance (40%):
- Organise the planning and forecasting process to build a complete picture of our P&L
- Develop dashboards and projectors using QuickBooks
- Provide support on costings for project proposals to clients
- Handle company payments as required, including creators involved in Crowdsourcing
- Invoice and accounts payable: Issue invoices to clients as per project schedule. Ensure on time payment from clients. Ensure payment on time to suppliers, as per our commitments and cash flow position
- Track time sheets of whole team to analyse/report profitability on a project by project basis
Overall Team Support (30%):
- Prepare Director’s claim on monthly basis
- Record and keep track of employees’ leave benefits
- Ensure time sheets are submitted on weekly basis
- Provide support with Expenses for the team
- Administrative support (travel, venues materials, external participants etc)
- Any other ad-hoc admin duties as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications, ideally with 2 or more years of experience
- Strong FP&A and controllership background
- As the Finance Spark, one needs to be a self-starter and proactive person
- Willing to learn quickly, not afraid to speak up (or have a POV), want to make a difference
- Ability and tact to work across very different cultures
- Familiar with Quickbooks, Xero and Microsoft Office suite (Excel in particular) and digitally savvy
- Ability to effectively interact with external stakeholders including advisors, clients, banks, and regulatory bodies such as ACRA and IRAS
- Strong analytical skills, and knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
- Ability to work independently, proactive, motivated
