DESCRIPTION
The Junior Bid and Proposal Commercial Analyst will support the development and submission of competitive proposals in response to client requests (RFPs, RFQs, ITTs). The role involves performing commercial and financial analysis, preparing bid documents, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure bids align with company standards and client requirements. This entry-level position provides an opportunity to develop expertise in bid preparation, pricing strategies, and proposal documentation, working closely with experienced professionals in the commercial team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the development of proposals and bids in response to client requests (RFPs, RFQs, ITTs), ensuring that all bid materials meet the client’s specifications and internal quality standards.
- Perform detailed analysis of commercial and financial data to support bid pricing strategies, ensuring competitive and compliant pricing for bids
- Prepare and format bid documents, including financial models, risk analysis, and commercial terms, while ensuring alignment with the company’s pricing and business objectives.
- Work closely with legal and procurement teams to ensure that all proposals are compliant with company policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and finance, to gather necessary inputs for proposal preparation.
- Assist with document control by maintaining accurate and up-to-date bid-related documentation, including contracts, proposals, and pricing models, in the company’s databases and tracking systems..
- Support senior engineers and project managers in delivering sound engineering solutions.
- Ensure that technical compliance with all design requirements.
- Use engineering software for modelling and analysis.
- Produce technical documents, reports and presentations detailing the findings of investigations under the guidance of Project Engineer or Engineering Manager.
- Field engineering support during construction phase of the project.
- Commissioning and start-up support.
- Achieve safety standards as defined in project requirements
- Assist in preparation for bid submission to client, with compliant technical documentation.
- Assist in preparation for request for quotations, and evaluation of bids submitted by Suppliers.
- Attend technical meetings, and minutes down the meeting, if required.
- Keep track of relevant discipline tasks.
- Comply with environmental impact assessment and safety-related design requirements.
- Documentation in accordance with Company’s quality management system.
- Responsible for personal safety, safe working practices, and understand and follow HSE procedures.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Management.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor or Master in Business Degree (Business or related disciplines).
- 0 – 2 years’ experience. Knowledge or experience in maritime and offshore services will be advantageous.
- Aptitude and attitude to learn and experience marine engineering requirements, software tools, and other technical issues.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
