ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for managing organizational sales by developing business plans and meeting planned goals.
- Help execute YCH’s sales policies, objectives and initiatives, set short- and long-term sales strategies and deliver desired levels of sales.
JOB TASKS AND SPECIFICATIONS
- Plan, implement sales strategies and deliver /help deliver planned sales goals.
- Participate/Initiate sales objectives /targets by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new clients.
- Manage sourcing of customers. Build and maintain relationships with customers and assist and direct team members in sourcing and growing customer base.
- Possess excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide excellent service and maintenance of current customers, including analysis of current lanes to assure we are competitive.
- Exposure working in 3PL/ freight-forwarding/ contract logistics environment
- Proven business development track records.
- Self-motivated with strong business acumen, contract negotiation skills and capabilities in tender management and network optimization. Able to take initiative to drive change and influence others with sound understanding of commercial.
- Implications of solutions proposed, potential areas of risk and methods to limit liabilities.
- Monthly financial analysis including determining overall success of current customer profiles in terms of revenue and profit.
- Determine current rates in the marketplace offered by competitors.
- Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to pre-set standards, industry and economic trends including sales and margin goals.
- Overseeing the activities and the performance of the Sales function.
- Prepare report if needed;
- Perform other jobs related to sales function as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience in the Logistics industry.
- Excellent English communication skills (both oral and written) and presentation skills.
- In depth knowledge of 3PL Contract Logistics and related activities such Fulfilment, Transportation and Freight.
- Knowledge in Logistics business and its operating parameters.
- Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
- With strong leadership and excellent interpersonal skills and able to deal with people at all levels in and outside the organization.
- Competent in preparing business plans and feasibility studies.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
