Main Job Description
Implement compliance controls, policies and procedures
- Support the implementation of compliance controls in accordance with compliance policies and frameworks
- Conduct routine monitoring and surveillance activities
- Execute regulatory compliance management procedures and escalate deviations
- Support internal compliance testing activities
- Generate suspicious activity reports for trade, transactions and other activities
- Track the implementation of compliance policies, processes and procedures and evaluate their effectiveness
Execute compliance-related administration
- Ensure compliance-related policies, processes, activities and reports are documented
- Monitor communication channels for compliance queries and escalate to relevant parties
- Direct stakeholders to compliance resources and references
- Escalate any technology system issues from compliance standpoint
- Gather evidence and documentation for compliance investigations
Support compliance knowledge management
- Conduct research on industry best practices and developments to update knowledge management systems
- Gather information on the latest regulations and requirements to support the preparation of compliance reports
- Compile compliance and financial crime compliance activity status reports
- Document compliance assessments, monitoring and surveillance findings
- Coordinate responses to compliance queries and/or regulatory queries
- Assist in preparation of compliance-related training materials
- Disseminate compliance-related communication and memo support compliance knowledge management
Job Requirement
- As Candidate is required to be familiar with the compliance requirement of MAS, those with at least 1 year of working experience in Singapore Banking Industry (with not more than 2 banks) will have advantage.
- The ideal candidate is a team-player with the ability to see beyond his/ her job-scope and work with the business unit colleagues to realise business goals and targets
- Mature candidate and able to work under pressure and meet timelines is preferred
- Able to articulate fluently and is assertive with good interpersonal, analytical and writing skills
- Proficiency bilingual as successful candidate is required to prepare email correspondence and periodic reports in English and Chinese for overseas branches and HQ in Taiwan
